While the toucan is at home in the tropical forests of South and Central America, he is recognized everywhere he goes. His 7.5-inch-long beak may look intimidating, but it is actually better adapted for feeding than fighting. While the toucan’s colourful markings serve as effective camouflage in the rainforest, he and his flock are often so noisy you might think they enjoy attracting attention!
