Assiniboine Park Zoo has had a long history of conservation initiatives and participation. We currently have several species that are part of Species Survival Plans and are involved in one captive breeding program.

Our goal is to increase our conservation activities and increase the public awareness of these activities. This will ultimately help to conserve animals in the wild.
