Construction at the Zoo

Construction of the Journey to Churchill exhibit, and other site improvements at the Zoo will continue in 2013 as part of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s $200 million redevelopment. Visitors will notice many changes and may experience construction detours as they navigate their way through the Zoo’s 80 park-like acres. Construction has also required the closure of some exhibits and relocation of others.

Assiniboine Park Zoo is on its way to becoming a world-class attraction, but changes of this magnitude take time and there are bound to be growing pains along the way. We are making every effort to minimize the impact of construction and maximize your enjoyment of the Zoo. We also have new and seasonal exhibits to explore!

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue on this journey to excellence. Visit www.imagineaplace.ca to learn more about this exciting transformation and how you can help make it happen!
