The summer of 2014 is going to be our most exciting to date, and we invite you to be a part of it! With the opening of Journey to Churchill, more special events than ever in the Park and Zoo, and an abundance of opportunities for all ages and skill levels, there really is something for everyone!

With more than 300 acres of greenspace, gardens, and attractions from A to Zoo, there’s no shortage of volunteer opportunities at Assiniboine Park. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and work hand in hand with staff to preserve, protect and enrich the Park’s cherished character.

Information for New Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities are available to anyone 16 years of age or older. It is our goal to provide volunteers with enriching and rewarding volunteer experiences. We aim to place our volunteers in positions that offer the best match for your unique skill set and schedule. Among other benefits, volunteers will:
The screening procedure for volunteers includes completion of an application form, an interview and reference checks, and an orientation.
We will contact you within three business days to discuss your interests in detail.
